Land Acquisition Opportunities for Power Infrastructure and Economic Development
As part of our long-term energy and infrastructure strategy, we are issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify and acquire strategically located land parcels for the development of behind-the-meter combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants and supporting facilities.
We are currently pursuing three development tracks – 300 MW, 600 MW, and 1200 MW – each designed to anchor new industrial ecosystems powered by efficient, locally generated energy. These projects will serve as mini-grids, delivering low-cost, reliable power directly to co-located data centers, advanced manufacturers, and critical infrastructure operators.
We welcome submissions from:
- Landowners and real estate developers
- Local governments and economic development agencies
- Utility companies and industrial site managers
- Operators of decommissioned power or manufacturing facilities
Each project requires two types of land parcels:
- Plot 1: A site suitable for building a natural gas-fired CCGT power plant. Must be near or directly connected to grid infrastructure and a reliable water source. Former industrial sites, especially those with substations and gas line access, are ideal.
- Plot 2: One or more nearby parcels for data centers and/or manufacturers to build new facilities powered by the plant. These sites must have access to water and sufficient acreage for high-load operations.
Our goal is to repurpose underutilized land, optimize transmission costs, and build self-contained power ecosystems that attract world-class industrial users and data-driven enterprises.
