Smartland Energy confirms it recently submitted a redevelopment bid for the Muskingum River Plant site in Washington County, Ohio. The project evaluation and proposal were part of the company’s ongoing initiative to repurpose strategic legacy energy infrastructure for modern, sustainable use.

After a thorough review process, the South East Ohio Port Authority, the site’s owner, selected an alternate proposal based primarily on its potential to deliver a significantly larger number of permanent jobs to the region.
