Yangquan Power Station

The Yangquan Power Station Unit 1 and 2, also known as the Shanxi Sunshine Power Generation Company Phase Project, is a coal-fired power plant located in Pingding, Yangquan, Shanxi Province, China. The facility comprises four subcritical units, each with a capacity of 320 megawatts (MW), totaling 1,280 MW. Units 1 and 2 were commissioned in 1996 and 1997, respectively.

Project Role

Yangquan Lead advisor for construction and commissioning for Units 1 and 2 at both plants (2 x 300 MW arch fired units). Dongfeng Boiler Company had become a licensee for Foster Wheeler Arch Fired Unit technology. This was their initial projects using the new technology and in addition to supporting the typical site activities these duties included extensive training of the Dongfeng representatives .
