Project Overview
The Longview Power Project, located near Maidsville in Monongalia County, West Virginia, is a 700 MW supercritical coal-fired generating station commissioned in 2011. The plant is built on a high-efficiency, low-emissions (HELE) design - superior heat-rate efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and lower emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter than legacy coal-fired plants. It is recognized as one of the cleanest coal-fired plants in North America.
