Therma Visayas, Inc. (TVI), a joint venture between Aboitiz Power Corporation and Vivant Corporation, operates a coal-fired power plant in Barangay Bato, Toledo City, Cebu. The facility currently comprises two units, each with a capacity of 170 megawatts (MW).

The existing plant utilizes state-of-the-art Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) technology and Best Available Control Technology (BACT) to minimize emissions and environmental impact. Additionally, TVI features a coal dome storage facility designed to securely contain fuel deposits and mitigate the spread of coal dust into the atmosphere.

To ensure compliance with environmental standards, the plant is equipped with a Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS), providing real-time data accessible to government regulatory bodies.

Project Role
